Who we are
Children’s rights become real when children can participate.
Hoima Child Rights Network Club is a registered non-governmental organization established in 2008 and first registered as a community-based organization in 2009.
In August 2023, the organization registered with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau under its current name. HONECRIC works with schools, children, adolescents, young people, teachers, coaches, parents, local government and civil-society partners.

Our history
From school clubs to a regional child-rights network.
HONECRIC began through Child Rights Clubs founded by Mr. Muchope John, a special-needs teacher, under the guidance of Hoima’s Special Needs Education Department and with support from Uganda Society for Disabled Children.
That foundation remains central: schools and communities are where children learn to participate, where risks can be noticed early, and where inclusion becomes part of daily life.
